Fun fact: In 1968 (yes, 1968) I started an Ecology Club at my school. We used to arrange for an empty tractor-trailer to park at school and people would drop off their old newspapers for recycling. That’s how we raised money for our club.


Favorite part about being an Environmental Studies School: Barnard is the type of school I would love to have attended when I was a child.

Favorite part about being an Environmental Studies School:  My favorite part about being Environmental Studies school is that we are committed to something that is bigger than ourselves. Specifically, our environmental focus promotes kinesthetic learning and instills values of respect and concern for both humans and nature.
